Cheryl Cole meets 'Geordie Shore' girls - picture

Two Geordie Shore girls met their idol Cheryl Cole last night thanks to the power of Twitter.

Charlotte-Letitia Crosby and Sophie Kasaei were invited backstage at the 'Call My Name' star's 'A Million Lights' tour after encouraging their followers to tweet Cole and ask for backstage passes for the pair.

Kasaei tweeted: "Right I want all of our amazing fans to tweet @CherylCole for me and @CharlotteGShore and tell her we want to meet her 2nite."

Crosby added: "Every tweet @cherylcole for me And @SophieGShore we would love to meet her tonight please guys thanku so much if we all tweet shel mite c it."

Cole, a fellow Geordie and fan of the MTV reality series, was made aware of the campaign by Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts after she spotted the tweets.

Roberts replied: "@CharlotteGShore @sophiegshore Girls I've told her, sorted it for you!! She's excited!!"

Crosby and Kasaei were handed access-all-areas passes and granted a meet and greet with their hero.

The Geordie Shore girls previously described Cole as a "great role model" and Geordie "ambassador", while the singer was rumoured to be planning a cameo on the show.
