The Voice finalist Tyler James has revealed he's been getting advice from famous fan Cheryl Cole ahead of tonight's finale and the Geordie lass is 'rooting' for Will.I.Am's act.

According to The Sun, Chezza pitched up at the BBC1 studios yesterday to surprise Tyler with cake and balloons.

She later tweeted: "Was nice talking to you Tyler. Good luck for the weekend. I'll be rooting for you."

Tyler, who is one of four finalists set to do battle in tonight's show, told the paper:"She said you can get overwhelmed by people voting for you and it all gets a bit messy in your head.

"But she told me to just remember when I get on the stage that this is my dream - to recognise the opportunity."

Last week Cheryl performed live on the BBC talent show but reports today suggest tonight's guest stars have already pre-recorded their footage.

The Daily Star claims that Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5 have filmed their performances ahead of the two-hour show.

A source told the paper: "This would never happen on The X Factor. Simon Cowell would not allow a special guest star who's been booked for the final to pre-reco! rd their song the day before and not be there on the night.

"The BBC struggled to get big names for the final with people such as Adele and Justin Bieber turning them down. Now the acts they did get aren't even going to be there on the night."

Yesterday the final songlist was revealed, with each singer taking on two tracks, one of which will be a duet with their coach.

Bookies' favourite Bo Bruce is set to sing Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U and Professor Green and Emeli Sand's Read All About It.

Vince Kidd will perform Jimmy Cliff classic Many Rivers To Cross and Jessie J's Nobody's Perfect.

Leanne Mitchell will take to the stage to sing Mama Told Me Not To Come with Tom Jonesand James Brown's It's A Man's Man's Man's World, and Tyler James is taking on Michael Jackson's I'll Be There as well asUsher's OMG.

The Voice final airs tonight at 19.20pm on BBC1.
