Cheryl Cole's new single delayed

Cheryl Cole has reportedly delayed the release of her new song so she can focus on the Girls Aloud reunion.

The 29-year-old former X Factor judge was due to unveil the track S***w You but it seems she has now postponed it because she is concentrating on the girl group, who have got back together to mark 10 years in the industry.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Cheryl originally planned for her solo material to coincide with the Girls Aloud promo schedule. That way, it was thought they would cross-advertise each other.

"Unfortunately, it just felt a bit confusing to have both going on at once."

The insider added that Cheryl's latest song, Under The Sun, only reaching number 13 in the chart was a factor, saying: "After the girls' single lost out to Olly Murs in the race for number one and Cheryl's single failed to reach the top 10, it was decided to focus all the attention on Girls Aloud for the time being.

"They might reschedule it for some time in March, after the girls' tour, but there is no date set at the moment."

Girls Aloud have released new music since getting back together and are also set to tour next year.
