Cheryl Cole may have denied rumours suggesting she's set to be a guest mentor on The Voice, but reports have seemed to confirm that she is still set to perform on the show.

According to The Sun, the Girls Aloud stunner has lined-up a performance of her new single on the BBC series next month, which will coincide with the launch of her third solo album.

Little is known about Cheryl's new material, with the 28-year old seeming to reveal lyrics to what is thought to be her new single on Twitter last month.

The move is bound to upset Chezza's former aide Simon Cowell, whose show Britain's Got Talent is set to go head-to-head against The Voice when it premieres this Saturday (24th March).

Speaking of Cheryl's appearance on the show, a source from The Voice told the tabloid: "It's great news as we've made no secret of the fact we love Cheryl. But obviously Simon will be annoyed as he hates The Voice."

Earlier this month, the Fight For This Love singer's manager Will.I.Am - ! who is a coach on The Voice - hinted that Cole may appear on the show, telling The Metro that it "depends on whether she would like to do it."
