Cheryl Cole has reportedly decided to turn her back on Simon Cowell for good by signing up to appear on new BBC talent show, The Voice.

According to the Daily Star, Chezza sees joining the rival talent series as the "perfect revenge" on SiCo after he axed her from The X Factor USA panel last year.

A source told the tabloid that the news of the Girls Aloud star's involvement on The Voice will not go down well with Cowell, revealing: "He will not be happy. He believes they have unfinished business.

"This is perfect revenge for Cheryl. Because its the BBC, people have been told not to gloat. However, there is no doubt it is a real coup.

It is currently unknown what Cole's role will be on the show, with her manager Will.I.Am - who is a coach on The Voice - apparently asking the gorgeous Geordie to act as a mentor for his contestants.

When asked by The Metro if Chezza will star on The Voice, the Black Eyed Peas rapper stated: "It depends on whether she would like to do it."!

A separate BBC insider added: "Wed welcome her to appear as a guest mentor or a singer. Will is a very charismatic man and can be very persuasive, so undoubtedly he is going to pull some strings."

Last month, Cheryl ruled out a return to the UK series of The X Factor telling her followers on Twitter that the ITV1 programme was "part of her past."

Earlier today (14th March), it was confirmed that The Voice will go head-to-head in a ratings battle with Cowell's show Britain's Got Talent on 24th March, where both programmes will air at the same time for 50 minutes.
