Cheryl Cole Ignored Alexandra Burke's Texts

First it was Cher Lloyd, now it's Alexandra Burke; it seems as if Cheryl Cole has formed a habit of ignoring her former protges...

Alexandra Burke has been in the press a fair bit recenly and now it seems as if she's making headlines again. The singer has admitted to reporters that she hasn't been in contact with Cheryl Cole, her former X Factor mentor, for over a year.

So it obviously came as a big surprise to her when she received a Tweet from her!

Alexandra opened up to the Daily Star Sunday, admitting that she felt the sudden communication was a little too public for her taste:

"I haven't heard anything from Cheryl for over a year and then she tweeted me publicly the other day, which I was really surprised about... I was surprised to hear from her on Twitter, which was very public. Don't get me wrong, it was great for her to get in touch and it was a very lovely message, but I would prefer to hear from her more privately."

Nothing's private nowadays Alexandra. Especially when Cheryl's set to bring out her newest solo album.

Despite the silent treatment, she admitted that she missed Cheryl:

"We kept in contact after the show but then it just stopped. You just don't know what is going on in other people's lives so you can't get mad if someone doesn't text you back. But of course it doesn't mean that I don't miss her. I miss her very much."

Well, fingers crossed that the pair are set to rekindle their friendship!
