Cheryl Cole reportedly turned down a return to The X Factor after still feeling "hurt" by her sacking from the US series last year.

According to reports, the Girls Aloud star was offered a whopping 2.5million to rejoin the panel this summer, following the news that Kelly Rowland may not be reprising her role on the show.

However, Chezza took to Twitter to quash the allegations, telling her followers: "X Factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past. Please #letsmoveonnow #newnewspls Zzzzz *yawns*."

A source has since told Closer magazine that boss Simon Cowell tried to persuade Cheryl to change her mind during her trip to America last month, but the Fight For This Love singer rejected his proposal.

They explained: "Simon called Cheryl when she got back and asked what it would take to get her back on the show.

But she told him in no uncertain terms there wasnt enough money in the world. Shes still very hurt over the way she was treated by Simon in LA.

The insider added: She feels let down, like she cant trust anyone. She wants to put the whole thing behind! her.

While Cheryl won't be making her XF return, Olly Murs has apparently announced he will be hosting spin-off show The Xtra Factor for the second year running.

The Mirror claims Murs made the announcement during his gig in Dublin, stating he would be rejoining co-presenter Caroline Flack on the ITV2 programme.
