Cheryl Cole has denied rumours suggesting that she has signed-up for a role on new BBC talent show, The Voice.

Yesterday (14th March) the Daily Star reported that Chezza had landed a spot on the series, with a source claiming she saw the position as the "perfect revenge" on Simon Cowell after he axed her from The X Factor USA panel last year.

A source told the tabloid: "He will not be happy. He believes they have unfinished business. This is perfect revenge for Cheryl. Because its the BBC, people have been told not to gloat. However, there is no doubt it is a real coup.

Cole's manager Will.I.Am also fuelled the allegations, apparently telling The Metro that her involvement on The Voice "depends on whether she would like to do it."

A BBC insider was also quoted as saying: "Wed welcome her to appear as a guest mentor or a singer. Will is a very charismatic man and can be very persuasive, so undoubtedly he is going to pull some strings."

However, the Girls Aloud babe has now quashed the report! s, with a spokesperson for Cheryl telling the Daily Mail that "there is no truth" to claims that the Promise This singer will appear on The Voice.

The newspaper added that television is "not on Cheryl's radar right now, as she is hard at work on her new album."

Chezza has previously taken to Twitter to deny rumours of her return to The X Factor, tweeting last month: "X factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past .. Please #letsmoveonnow #newnewspls Zzzzz *yawns*."
