And just days after they announced their split for good following their reunion tour, Cheryl Cole has revealed she's taking some time out of the limelight to be with loved ones (step forward boyfriend Tre Holloway).

The Geordie singer, who bowed out of the band on Thursday along with Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle, took to her social networks to tell fans her plans.

Waking up after a lazy Saturday morning in bed she posted: "Have just woken up!! This is the first time I have slept for more then 2 hrs in 4 days and I still don't feel human lol!

"Thank you so much for all your kind words, respect and well wishes.. I'm gonna take some time now to rest and recover !! I need some doggy love, family ,friends & loved ones !

"Just wanted to say thank you i love you and ill be back soon. "

Girls Aloud announced they were going their separate ways again on Thursday, following the last night of their Ten Tour.

But the separation turned sour when Nadine Coyle revealed she was never on board with the decision to split up.

Cheryl is reportedly planning to buy a 2 million love-nest with boyfriend Tre Holloway so we're sure that will keep her busy during her down time.

The Mail On Sunday reported earlier this month that the pair are close to signing on the pad in LA - which will be their second home.
