Cheryl Cole 'sobbing' after receiving Girls Aloud fan letter

Cheryl Cole hit Twitter last night, saying she was 'sobbing' afterreceiving an open letter from Girls Aloud fans.

In it, they'd spelled out their shock at the sudden split butreiterated they weren't angry at any of them.

A segment of the message read: "We're not mad, we may have seemed initially angry, but it was just shock, we're not angry at any of you, I don't want you think that."

Cheryl replied by re-tweeting the message, as well as writing: "Sobbing RT."

Nicola also revealed her feelings about the break-up online, writing to fans: "Today has been teary and my eyes are swollen. Its the start of a new chapter, lets smile and celebrate what we did together..

Both Sarah and Kimberley joined in with messages too, telling their devastated fans they shouldn't be sad it's over and to stay tuned for what the future brings.
