Cheryl Cole will apparently release the first single from her eagerly anticipated third solo LP this March.

According to the Daily Star, Chezza - who hasn't released any material since The Flood last January - is gearing up to unveil the first track from her brand new album in the spring.

A source told the tabloid: "Cheryls almost finished her third album and shes confident its her best by far.

Shes just putting the finishing touches to it before a release date is scheduled. But the plan is to have a single out by spring, possibly as early as March.

The Girls Aloud babe has worked with the likes of manager Will.I.Am, Taio Cruz and Alex Da Kid in America on her forthcoming record, with the hope of finally managing to crack the US with her music.

The insider added: "She felt she rushed her second album in order to get it released in time. But shes really taken her time for this one and feels so positive about the music."

Last week, reports suggested that Cole had recorded a new song about her turbulent love life, with the 28-year old singer thought to be 'undecided' over whether the heartfelt track will feature on her next album.

In other Cheryl Cole news, The Sun claims the gorgeous Geordie has finally put her feud with Simon Cowell behind her, following her sacking from The X Factor USA last year.

A source told the newspaper: "Simon and Cheryl have been in touch for a while. He would work with her again, but there are no secret plans at the moment."

Chezza and SiCo are reportedly planning to go out for dinner together next week, when the music mogul returns from the States.
