Cheryl Cole repairing rift with Girls Aloud bandmate

Reports always suggest that Cheryl Cole has rifts with anyone and everyone, but despite the rumours that one of these rifts is with Girls Aloud band mate Nadine Coyle, Cheryl has been tweeting her some pretty supportive messages.
After hearing a friend of Nadines had died, Cole posted a tweet to her saying, I just want you to know I an thinking of you at this sad and tragic time. I'm so sorry to hear of your lost. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. God bless you all. All my love Cheryl xx.
It has been reported that the pair have been out of touch due to Nadines move to the US, and Nadine was quoted in Heat magazine as saying her former bandmates are not her friends.
Its obvious that Cheryl wasnt going to tweet haha or anything though was it, so is this really the start of some bridge building? Or is it just simply someone showing a bit of compassion?
