Will.i.am gushes about Cheryl Cole: "I'm proud of her"

At an Ekocycle launch event in New York City this week, brand creator and entrepreneurwill.i.am told how his British protg, stylish singer Cheryl Cole may in fact enjoy wearing eco friendly garments in the future.

He also told how their working relationship continues to go from strength to strength. As Will spoke out at the event which launched the joint venture with Coca-Cola, he said that he's striving to encourage recycling amongst consumers by creating and highlighting products that have been made from recycled ones.

He also said that Cheryl may one day opt for eco styles: "If she wants to [wear eco clothes], I think shes going to like some of the Ekocycle partners that we are going to announce next year.

"Its going great with Cheryl otherwise. She is a great artist and a sweet person and our creative relationship has been amazing."

Will.i.am is into eco threads. And Cheryl.

He added: "We are now dreaming up what the next project we do should look like and feel like. I cant say what it is but I want to leave that to her to announce. From working with Cheryl Ive learned to put the right people together and going out and meeting talented, creative and relentless folks to surround her with."

TheBlack Eyed Peas star continued with his gushing: "I am proud of Cheryl and shes fresh. We are a team."

The first brands to join will.i.ams new eco project has been Dr. Dres's electro! nics company Beats By Dre and New Era. At the event Will was joined by the model Jessica Hart and actress, Krysten Ritter.
