Cheryl Cole takes legal action over MC Harvey romance claim?

Cheryl Cole has allegedly taken legal action against a magazine over reports that she had a romance with MC Harvey.

According to The Mirror, the 'Promise This' singer has challenged Now over claims made by the So Solid Crew member that they embarked on a relationship in the wake of her separation from husband Ashley Cole.

"We started confiding in each other," he is quoted as saying in the article. "It was like two people who'd gone through so much and both respected each other because of it. I wouldn't have minded Cheryl being my wife!"

The report saw a row explode on Twitter, with Cole asking Harvey: "Was this "relationship" happening in your head?! Are you smoking something ?"

Cole also claimed to have only met Harvey "maybe twice at public events", though the ex-husband of Alesha Dixon suggested he had evidence of their fling.

"Do you actually want me to tweet some of the messages you emailed me @cherylcole pipe down and stop playing the saint in front of your fans," he tweeted.

"I don't need no hype of you! I'd rather go broke an! d work i n sainsburys than talk about your personal s**t."

Harvey separated from Dixon in 2006 after cheating on her with singer Javine Hylton, who gave birth to his daughter Angel two years later.
