Cheryl Cole met with Prince Charles last night (23rd February) after attending The Prince's Trust Gala Dinner at London's Savoy Hotel.

Exactly a year after she first came face-to-face with the future king, Chezza was seen sharing a joke with Charles at the event, where the likes of Jools Holland, footballer Gary Lineker and his wife Danielle were also in attendance.

The Girls Aloud star looked every inch the star as she wore a stunning floor-length Grecian-style white gown, completing her glamourous look with a black waist belt and matching black clutch bag.

Chezza later took to Twitter to tell her followers about her encounter with Prince Charles, stating that she "adores" the royal.

The 28-year old wrote on her official page: "Had such a lovely night with our very own Prince Charles.. #adorehim his work to create our youth a better future is so inspiring.."

While Cheryl may be mingling with Prince Charles, the gorgeous Geordie confirmed earlier this week that she will NOT be making a return to The X Factor.

After Louis Walsh stated he wanted her ba! ck on th e panel, Cole tweeted: "X Factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past. Please #letsmoveonnow #newnewspls Zzzzz *yawns*."

A friend of Chezza's has since told The Mirror: "Enough is enough. Cheryl's no pushover and she does not want people to think she will go running back to X Factor after the way she was treated by Simon Cowell.

"She is a strong girl and is moving on. She was dumped from X Factor USA and she's made up her mind [that] she is not going back.

"She doesn't need to do the show. Cheryl is all about her music now," the insider continued. "She lives, sleeps and breathes her new album - it's her passion."

An XF insider also added that Cole's refusal to come back to the ITV1 talent show has come as a major blow to bosses: "We had hoped that Cheryl was going to be the missing piece of the puzzle for 2012 - she could have guaranteed the series was the biggest ever,"

"She is friends with Gary [Barlow], Louis and Tulisa [Contostavlos], so it could have been the perfect mix but now we are back to square one. She was top of the list for Simon and ITV, so we have to look again at our options and move quickly."
