Cheryl Cole finishes work on third album: 'I'm so happy'

Cheryl Cole has revealed that work on her third studio album is completed.

The singer returned back to the UK after spending time in Los Angeles working on the follow-up to 2010's Messy Little Raindrops.

Cole told her fans on Twitter: "There's no place like home *sighs*.. Fresh english air !! But where is the snow :(.. I was expecting an avalanche :'( (sic)"

She later added: "Yesss.! The album is DONE !!! *dancing all over the place* I'm Soooo HAPPY and EXCITED to share with you !! #CherylMusic on its way.. Booyaa"

There is yet to be an official announcement on the release of Cole's new single and album, but it is expected to be unveiled in the spring.

Reports have suggested Cole could premiere her new single on the BBC's upcoming singing competition The Voice, with will.i.am stating that it would "p*ss" off Simon Cowell.
