Image
By Jennifer Barton on Wednesday 29 February 2012 Rex Features Rihanna has been in London taping her appearance for Jonathan Ross this Friday, but her extended stay has rumours swirling that she's busy recording a duet with Cheryl Cole. RIHANNA'S STYLE HIGHS & LOWS The singer left her hotel yesterday in a funky street style look - distressed Union Jack sweatshirt, ripped jeans, high-top trainers and statement accessories including a leather visor, sunnies and oversized hoop earrings - as she headed to a taping of The Jonathan Ross Show , which she'll be appearing on this Friday to discuss her movie debut in sci-fi flick Battleship . The star has been busy since her appearance at the BRIT Awards 2012 last week, and tweeted a snap of herself from an Esquire photoshoot, wearing only the leather visor and some skimpy lingerie. Pop star Cheryl Cole goes under the hammer for the Prince of Wales

I must thank Cheryl Cole, said the Prince of Wales at the event at the Savoy hotel in London. Shes been kind enough to come this evening and, apart from anything else, to offer herself up as an auction prize. Only, alas, for afternoon tea. When Edith Bowman was one of the presenters of the BBCs royal wedding coverage, her lilac outfit was described by one critic as being so mumsy that both Hyacinth Bucket and Susan Boyle would have rejected it. Philippa Hall, the Sky News presenter, for her part, remarked: Oh, my God, Edith Bowman, what are you wearing? Happily, the BBC has not been deterred from using Bowman in its coverage of the Queens Diamond Jubilee. They have just got in touch and I am thrilled to do it, the Scot tells Mandrake. I have no idea what it involves yet. For all I know, they could have me jumping in the Thames, so that would make a difference on the outfit. On persistent rumours of Cole's return, a close friend told The Mirror : "Enough is enough. Cheryl's no pushover and she does not want people to think she will go running back to X Factor after the way she was treated by Simon Cowell . "She is a strong girl and is moving on. She was dumped from X Factor USA and she's made up her mind [that] she is not going back. "She doesn't need to do the show. Cheryl is all about her music now," the insider continued. "She lives, sleeps and breathes her new album - it's her passion." Rex Features / Ken McKay/TalkbackThames/Rex Features Meanwh

I want Cheryl back, he tells Mandrake at the Brits after-party hosted by Sony in Mayfair. Shes a great judge and I miss her. I think the public feel the same. Cher Lloyd Admits She 'Owes Cheryl For Her Success'

Image
13:03, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 Cher Lloyd has revealed she wasn't surprised that her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole reacted to her recent comments on Twitter , apologising again on This Morning . Last week, Lloyd seemed to make a dig at the Girls Aloud star, suggesting that Cheryl can't sing live, telling Real Radio North West that without the use of Auto-Tune it would be a "challenge" for the 28-year old to perform without it. When asked if she would ever want to duet with Cole, the 18-year old stated: "Maybe, if she sings live with me... [it's] always [a challenge] nowadays when you haven't got that nifty little button to press." Cheryl later appeared to hit back at Lloyd on Twitter , writing on her official page: "Be Careful who you kick on your way up .. They kick you twice as hard on your way back down.. #unappreciationisugly." Lloyd then apologised on ITV1 breakfast show Daybreak , insisting that she never meant any harm with her

Cher Lloyd apologises to Cheryl Cole

Cher Lloyd has apologised for suggesting Cheryl Cole cannot sing live. The 'Swagger Jagger' hitmaker insists she was just making a "little joke" when she accused the 'Parachute' singer - who was her mentor on the 2010 series of 'The X Factor' - of miming and relying on computer auto-tuning to perfect her vocals and says she didn't mean to offend the star. Speaking on TV show 'Daybreak', she said: "Basically, I said something on radio that I shouldn't have said and it wasn't intended to sound as bad as it did. "All I was saying was that I would love to perform with her live and then I made a little joke. "I want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive. At the end of the day, she was the person who got me where I am today. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be where I was. "I'm in the public eye now so word vomit isn't good." Cher's apology comes after Cheryl slammed her on twitter ov

The 'Swagger Jagger' star appeared to annoy her former X Factor mentor when she hinted that Cole would not perform live without auto-tune. Following Cole's Twitter response, Lloyd apologised for her "little joke", adding that it had been blown "out of proportion" . Rex Features / Steve Meddle Speaking on ITV1's This Morning , the 18-year-old said that she is "always" putting her foot in it: "I think I get too comfortable with just being myself. I forget that people are watching me. "I think I really did put my foot in it and now I've realised that what I said was wrong, obviously, and I said sorry. And I think it got fully taken out of context, but I think I understand now that you need to be on form and be aware of what you're saying all the time." Asked if she was surprised to provoke a reaction from the Girls

Will Cheryl Cole judge UK's version of The Voice?

LONDON (Hollywood Reporter) - The BBC has won the battle to bring talent search show "The Voice" to BBC1 after a high stakes battle with ITV. The move could see Cheryl Cole back on British screens next year. The Girls Aloud singer, who was unceremoniously dumped from "X-Factor" U.S. earlier this month, also lost out on her chance to rejoin the British version of the show - which airs on ITV1 - after refusing to take calls from ITV executives. There is no word about Cole signing to the BBC1 Saturday night show -- yet. But as the most popular talent show judge in the U.K. after Simon Cowell, Cole will be the viewers' choice to front the BBC show, and if wooed to the BBC could secure the show's success for the BBC. A rep for Cole denies that "any discussions with Talpa have taken place." BBC1 boss Danny Cohen said he has signed a deal with the show's creator, John de Mol, whose production company Talpa Media is behind the NBC show starring Christi
