Taio Cruz "Wishes He Was Dating Cheryl Cole"

Taio Cruz has shot down rumours he's romancing gorgeous Geordie Cheryl Cole, exclusively telling MTV News that they are NOT a couple.

Last month, Heat magazine reported that Chezza and Taio were an item - with a source claiming the pair were "smitten" with each other.

When we caught up with Cruz, he was keen to clear up the allegations that himself and the Girls Aloud beauty were in a relationship - stating he wishes the rumours were true!

Speaking about Cole, the Little Bad Girl singer said: "Cheryl and I worked together in Los Angeles a few weeks ago we got about three new songs done."

"I gave her one of my watches and took a photo of it, which seems to have spurred some strange rumours."

Taio was then quick to added: "I really wish I was dating Cheryl Cole, but Im not!
