Cheryl Cole 'It's about time we all forgave Chris Brown'

Cheryl Cole has waded in on a very sensitive subject in a recent interview, the subject of theRihanna/Chris Brown debate. The singer says that the public should 'move on' from the 2009 incident which sawChris physically attack then girlfriend Rihanna.

While the public seem split on their decision as to whether they think Chris can be forgiven for his actions, Cheryl says she backs Rihannas choice to forgive the star for the attack, for which he was sentenced to 180 days of community labour.

After hearing RiRi and Chris Brown's recently collaboration on the track Birthday Cake, Cheryl says,

"I think it's really kind of her actually. She's come out and publicly forgiven him really. I think it's about time we all did if I'm completely honest, if you want my opinion."

Cheryl went on to talk about the charity she works with who work with reformed characters, and how that has effected her view of people. The singer continued,

"I work with people all the time with my charity that are transformed characters. They've done things when they were young that they regret, they've been to prison and they're now upstanding members of the public and help our community and are amazing people."

The star then went on to say that because Chris is famous and constantly in the public eye, he hasn't been given the proper chance to be forgiven, or even to forgive himself, saying,

"I think because he's in the limelight...he hasn't had the chance to be forgiven or to forgive himself because we haven't let him. Now that she's come out and embraced him again, I think i! t's time we all moved on. That guy is talented as hell."
