So what will Ashley, 31, think now it's been revealed his former missus, 29, has been seeing dancer Tre Holloway for several months?
'Ashley knows she's dating, but this will come as a shock,' says a source close to the England footballer, who Cheryl divorced in 2010.
'He still hoped they might get back together and didn't believe she would find something as good as what they had together.'
Ashley's mum Sue had been trying to get them back together in recent months but that's looking unlikely now.
