Cheryl Cole set to return to our TV screens for Rihanna's Styled to Rock

She's been notably absent from our TV screens ever since she was sensationally axed from the US version of The X Factor last year, but now Cheryl Cole is believed to be making a comeback with a guest stint on Rihanna's new fashion reality show, Styled to Rock.

Reports surfacing today suggest that the Geordie pop star will appear as a guest judge on the programme, which will pit a clutch of budding fashion designers against one another to find the next British star.

Cheryl will join Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts on screen, who is acting as one of the mentors on the show alongside Rihanna's stylist Lysa Cooper and House of Holland designer Henry Holland. Pop songstress Rihanna, who is executive producer for the Project Runway-style show, will make her small-screen debut as the star mentor to the contestants in the ten-week competition.

It's understood that Cheryl isn't the only new star name to join the Styled to Rock schedule. The show will have even more of a music-based theme with Katy Perry, Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, The Scissor Sisters, Little Mix, Katy B, Little Boots and Rizzle Kicks all believed to be making guest judge appearances too.

The designers will work with the musicians througho! ut the p rogramme, which will culminate in them creating an outfit for Rihanna to perform in at this summer's Wireless Festival (which took place last month), before the panel pick their overall winner.

As the buzz around the show continues to build, mentors Nicola Roberts, Henry Holland and Lysa Cooper attended a photocall last night in London to promote the programme, which will air on Sky Living this weekend
