Girls Aloud turn down Glastonbury gig for Cheryl Cole's 30th birthday

Girls Aloud have revealed that they have decided against a Glastonbury Festival appearance this year so they can celebrate Cheryl Cole's 30th birthday instead.

Cheryl Cole has said that the group are to celebrate her birthday on June 30 instead which unfortunately for us lands on the same weekend as the annual music event.

Speaking to The Daily Star, she said, "We could be available for Glastonbury but my birthday is on the Sunday and as I'm turning 30 I want to have a big one. I want to party hard."

Nicola Roberts added that she looks forward to organising the birthday celebrations saying, "I'll plan it. Maybe we should celebrate over a few days."

Girls Aloud have been embarking on their 10th anniversary tour this year where Chezza recently unveiled a new large rose tattoo on her back while performing.

Girls Aloud will release The Collection in May 2013 which is a bundle of their five studio albums, B-sides and rarities.
