However, according to reports, Cheryl's mum Joan put an end to the dancer's plans, advising him it was all too soon.
A source has revealed that when Tre called Joan to ask for her permission to approve the festive proposal, she said "no".

"She's still very proctective of Cheryl," a friend told Look magazine.
Adding: "She's warming to Tre but there's no way she'd approve of him taking her down the aisle so quickly."
Meanwhile, it's believed that the 'Call My Name' singer will have a chance to meet the backing dancer's mother, who is expected to visit the UK in the year.
Sources have revealed that the Geordie beauty is keen to impress her beau's mum when the trio spend time taking in all the tourist's sites.
"Tre has already been to Newcastle to meet her mum and wanted to reciprocate. He cant wait for the three of them to take in the tourist sites," a source told The Sun newspaper.
