Cheryl Cole hits back at 'ill-informed Daily Mail crap'

Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole has hit back at a Daily Mail story which criticised her use of Twitter.

The Girls Aloud star joined the micro-blogging website in July, and has so far amassed almost 800,000 followers. However, a piece on the newspaper's website took issue with how Cole chooses to use her personal feed.

Asking, "Is Cheryl Cole the least interesting celebrity on Twitter?", the article played on the title of Cole's debut album by offering her '3 Words' of advice, by stating: "Learn to tweet!"

Picking apart her "cheesy" responses to fans' messages, it also claimed that the replies are "enough to send followers to sleep".

The 28-year-old's management Supersonic PR tweeted: "If @MailOnline think @CherylCole is boring on twitter why do they always run a story each time she tweets?!"

This prompted Cole to respond, hitting back that the paper does not need to follow her feed. She said: "I wouldn't mind but what an ill informed load of crap it is SMH.. 3 words.. Don't follow me *eggs* haha (sic)."

Receiving support from her fans, the 'Promise This' star retweeted one message which informed her that "on twitter we call them Daily Fail".

A "jet-lagged" Cole has just returned to the UK, after working on her upcoming third album in America.
