Cheryl Cole to walk the red carpet at Cannes

It's been confirmed that Cheryl Cole will attend Cannes Film Festival 2012.

The Parachute singer has revealed that she'll be touching down in the South of France for the annual film event taking place May 16-17.

Cheryl Cole dazzled on the red carpet when she attended the festival last year in a gorgeous Stephane Rolland dress.

Former Marie Claire cover girl Cheryl makes a cameo appearance in What To Expect When You're Expecting, out in cinemas from 18th May.

In the film, art imitates life for the ex talent show mentor as she plays the part of an X-Factor style judge on fictional talent show Celebrity Dance Factor.

In the clip Cheryl is seen throwing water over fellow judge Tab oo from the Black Eyed Peas and dancing on the table while Cameron Diaz and Matthew Morrison show off some energetic dance moves.

We can't wait to see Cheryl hitting the red carpet in Cannes - or her movie debut!
