Cheryl Cole's biggest omg! moments
Cheryl Cole is one of the most famous people in the country. Here are just some of the Geordie starlet's most memorable moments.
Joining Girls Aloud
In 2002 she was voted as the first member of Girls Aloud. Pete Waterman commented in the first audition that Cheryl was gorgeous and this along with her feisty attitude meant that she stood out among the other contestants.
Joining The X Factor
Cheryl became an 'X Factor' judge in 2008 and won twice with Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry. Two of her other mentees, Rebecca Ferguson and Cher Lloyd, have also found success after the show.
The Promise
'The Promise' became one of Girls Aloud's most successful singles and it lead to them performing at the BRITs for the first time and winning an award for Best Single. While the BRIT Awards usually favour dull acoustic acts this award showed that it is impossible to deny that Girls Aloud are a force in the pop world.
Fight For This Love
Cheryl's first single had a more R&B style than Girls Aloud's pop hits. In the video she was surrounded by dancers and dressed as a soldier. It topped the charts effortlessly, helped by a killer performance on 'The X Factor'.
Performance at The Brits
Cheryl's first performance after announcing her separation from Ashley Cole was at the BRIT awards. She looked ferocious and the song was mashed up with Robin S' Show Me Love for a memorable performance.
X Factor USA
Cheryl left the UK version of 'The X Factor' to join the US version. Within the first few weeks she was sacked in favour of Nicole Scherzinger, allegedly because of her Geordie accent which ended a friendship with Simon Cowell in the process.
Call My Name
When Cheryl announced her comeback she also announced that she wanted to change her pop star name from Cheryl Cole to just Cheryl. Her new single was produced by ! hitmaker Calvin Harris and is out on June 10th.
