Cheryl Cole To Drop Surname Following Ashley Divorce
Cheryl Cole has decided to drop her surname, two years after divorcing Chelsea footballer, Ashley Cole.
The 'Promise This' singer has been criticised for keeping the last name of her ex-husband, despite the pair divorcing in 2010. It seems Cheryl is ready to move on and will be known professionally, only by her first name.
"Cheryl is beginning a new chapter in her life so she doesn't want to be associated with negative stuff from the past," a source told The Sun.
"She's not removing Cole legally, it's just a career statement. She's in a really good place at the moment and wants to take life by the balls."
Cheryl is currently gearing up for the release of her third studio album, and was recently spotted shooting the music video for the record's first single.
Should Cheryl have dropped her last name straight after the divorce?
