SOMETIMES the hardest part of a split is losing contact with your boyfriend/husband's family.

But Cheryl Cole isn't letting her split from Ashley Cole stand in the way of her relationship with his family.

The Girls Aloud singer is apparently still on great terms with Ashley's mum and his brother Matt, so much so that she sent Matt a birthday cake and present for his 30th birthday.

A source told the Daily Star: "Cheryl arranged for a cake to be delivered and sent a gift via Ashley's mum. Ashley's mum still loves Cheryl and so does Matty.

"He recently had another child and Cheryl sent flowers and presents and now she's done it again. They were all incredibly touched."

Cheryl previously admitted the only person she really trusts is her mother, who she moved into her home with Ashley just before their split.
