THEIR duet was one of the worst-kept secrets surrounding the event.
The Duke of Edinburgh was sadly forced to skip the show due to a bladder infection, with Prince Charles later paying tribute to his father and calling on the nation to wish him a speedy recovery.
JLS took to the stage to deafening screams with their renditions of She Makes Me Wanna and! Everybo dy In Love, wowing us with their fancy footwork as they performed for the crowds.
It was Tom Jones who managed to get everyone up and on their feet - whether they were in London or at home on the sofa - as he belted out his hit, Delilah to the delighted audience.
Out-there outfits were hot on the night too, with the legend that is Annie Lennox as she donned wings and sequins to performThere Must Be An Angel.
Kylie Minogue was also on tonight's bill, wowing fans with her pitch-perfect vocals in a cute, pearl-emblazoned short suit that showed off her infamous toned legs.
The All The Lovers singer put on an energetic performance for The Queen - sparkling shoe boots et al - while Sir Elton John added to the sequins as he took up his seat on the piano in a bright pink shimmering tuxedo jacket.
The crooner wowed with his performances of Crocodile Rock and Your Song, while Sir Paul McCartney rounded off the patriotic evening with a string of hits, including Let It Be and Magical Mystery Tour.
Then it was time for Her Majesty The Queen to take the stage, with her son Prince Charles thanking the organisers, including Gary Barlow and the nation for their show of patriotism on her behalf, jokingly calling her 'mummy' to the crowd.
