Ashley Cole tells love interest, Alex, to stay away!
The latest guy to steal Cheryl Cole's heart is New York hip-hop producer Alex Da Kid, 28, who's working on her new album.
The pair have sparked rumours of a blossoming romance since early October after being spotted together.
Now magazine have reported that in recent weeks that the Promise This singer tweeted: I love you.
And Alex tweeted back: love you to.
However - whatever the Geordie sweetheart feels for Alex their relationship is a no-go zone - as the ex-Bristol City footballer, is pals with love rat ex-husband Ashley Cole - who the 28-year-old star divorced in September 2010 on grounds for "unreasonable behaviour" and that the marriage had "irretrievably broken down".
Sources told Now magazine: Ash has warned him off via mutual friends. Alex insists Cheryl's just a friend anyway.
For now Cheryl has struck a working relationship with Alex and the former X factor judge may also be planning a comeback on the talent show after X Factor boss, Simon Cowell has reportedly made her a very generous offer.
Sources revealed: "Simon feels that something is missing from this year's X Factor, and although he jokes that it's him he does also feel the nation is missing Cheryl."
